About one-third of women experience hair loss (alopecia) at some time in their lives; among postmenopausal women, as many as two-thirds suffer hair thinning or bald spots. Hair loss in women often has a greater impact than hair loss does on men, because it's less socially acceptable for them and can severely affect a woman's emotional well-being and quality of life.
The main type of hair loss in women is the same as it is in men. It's called androgenetic alopecia, or female (or male) pattern hair loss. In men, hair loss usually begins above the temples, and the receding hairline eventually forms a characteristic "M" shape; hair at the top of the head also thins, often progressing to baldness. In women, androgenetic alopecia begins with gradual thinning at the part line, followed by increasing diffuse hair loss radiating from the top of the head. A woman's hairline rarely recedes, and women rarely become bald.
There are many potential causes of hair loss in women, including medical conditions, medications, and physical or emotional stress.

WHAT IS EVS?
The Luxus EVS (ELEGANT VOLUMIZER SYSTEM) is a custom handmade topper system measured and fitted to each individual client's specifications. The EVS is handmade using the most breathable materials on the market. The base is construed with a fish netting material to allow air, water and cleansing products to pass through easily. The frontal hair line is made of a Swiss lace martial to mimic the scalp for effortless styling with a poly skin perimeter for easy bonding and durability.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Your EVS technician will take customized measurements of your scalp to create a perfect fit, then will help you choose an appropriate colour, length and thickness. Once complete, your EVS details will be sent off to the production wear-house where they will hand construct your personalized EVS unit. Once your EVS arrives back at the salon a fitting will be scheduled with your EVS technician, your technician will clean your scalp in preparation for application. EVS is boned down in the front hairline and fixed into position around the entire perimeter using EVS fixing points. Maintenance appointments are needed every 4 weeks to keep it securely in place.
FIXED SYSTEM:
Our signature fixed toppers are custom designed and ordered to fit each individual hair-loss needs, during your consultation & scalp analysis we will custom measure your target areas and create a custom fitting just for you. Toppers are installed via our signature lock-in technique using the natural hair fasting to the natural hair remaining on the scalp.
*This technique requires touch-up maintenance every 4 weeks to keep it snug into place.
FIXED & BOND:
Our signature fixed toppers are custom designed and ordered to fit each individual hair-loss needs, during your consultation & scalp analysis we will custom measure your target areas and create a custom fitting just for you. During the installation, the frontal hair line is taped out and a bonding solution is applied once the frontal portion of the topper is bonded into place the second step of fixing to the natural hair is completed.
* This technique requires at-home maintenance and touch-up maintenance every 4 weeks.
CLIP ON:
The fabulous thing about clip-on toppers is they can be taken on and off at your own leisure without any commitment, we stock a wide variety of clip-on toppers to suit every type of coverage.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST:
The EVS system is 100% human hair and can be washed, cut and styled the same as natural hair. EVS life wartime is up to 12 months with proper aftercare and maintenance. Now the life-wearing time frame can vary for each individual wearer as things like home care, daily styling, washing and products all take different effects on the unit itself.
